Tree-climber Bob

Bob may only have one eye, but that’s definitely not holding him back. He’s always keen to put the kittens in their places, and has taken to climbing trees. No matter that there are no sturdy branches to hold onto – a nest of twigs is good enough for plucky Bob. And he’s not just sitting there, doing nothing... he’s busy whacking kittens from his lofty perch!

Happy ever after for Ebony

Little Ebony has gone off to her forever home.
I think her new owner will find her very....

... snuggly.

If you’d like to adopt a lucky black cat, we have several more at Woodland Nook.

An unexpected bill

It’s been an expensive day at Woodland Nook as the flooring rotted through and required urgent repairs! Poor Paul has been working hard today to make the shelter safe and cosy again.

As you can see, the bill for supplies was a whopping £298, which we can ill afford at Woodland Nook, which is funded entirely by donations.

A nice new floor has now been installed but we need to raise some funds to pay for this. If you could spare anything, it would be most gratefully received. It’s easy to donate – just click the “Click to donate” button at the top right. Or, if you’re viewing this on your mobile device, simply click here. Alternatively, you can simply send your donation through Paypal to woodlandnook@hotmail.com – you don’t even need to have a Paypal account, you can simply use your credit card.

We do hope you can help; no matter how large or small, all donations are very welcome!

Thank you!

Kitty is desperate for a home

Kitty is desperate for a second chance. She was homed by Woodland Nook back in 2009 but sadly, her owner died on Christmas Day 2013, resulting in Kitty's return to the shelter on Boxing Day.
She isn't very happy sharing her home with other cats so is desperate to be given a second chance in life.
If you would like to meet Kitty, please make an appointment to visit our unique bungalow-style shelter, using the contact details on our websitewww.woodlandnookcatrescue.com

Beautiful Ebony

Meet Ebony, a truly beautiful black kitten. One look into her gorgeous yellow eyes and your heart will melt. We think she may have some pedigree in her as she is truly exceptionally beautiful. If you love black cats (and, frankly, why wouldn't you?) you really must come and take a look at Ebony!

Dreaming of Dreamies

Licking his lips at the thought of tasty Dreamies is Mickey, who was named in a competition at the Woodland Nook Fundraiser day. Mickey is one of many cats and kittens looking for loving homes. He – just like his friends – is totally adorable!

Two little kittens brought in by the flood

This pair of cuties, Seamus and Paddy (sorry, no idea which one is which!) are looking for a home. They were found in a field after being swept away in the heavy rainfall and floods the other week. As their homes couldn’t be found, they were brought to Woodland Nook where they have settled in nicely.

But there’s no substitute for a real, loving home, so they’re still looking for a new family. Could this be with you?

One-eyed Bob

Why are so many Woodland Nook cats pretending to be pirates? Because they arrrrrrr.

There’s a bit of a pirate theme going on at the shelter right now. You’ve already met Lucky Jim, the three-legged tabby, now meet One-Eyed Bob, who ’s a real treasure!

Bob was rescued from Crete, where he had cat flu, which resulted in him losing his severely infected eye. He’s safe and well and living at Woodland Nook now, but he’s very keen to find a new home, with a family who will be sensitive to his needs.

Overrun with kittens

We’re overrun with kittens here at Woodland Nook and it ’s turning Jane into even more of a Crazy Cat Lady than ever!

Sitting here with seven of the countless kittens currently living at the shelter, Jane is appealing for homes for these gorgeous bundles of fur.  As you can see, many of the kittens are black which, for some strange reason, is one of the hardest colours of cat to rehome. We at Woodland Nook think black cats are lucky – how about you?

For more information about adopting a cat from Woodland Nook, please use the contact details at the top of the page or email Jane direct.

If you can’t adopt right now, we’re also looking for foster homes to ease the situation, and donations of kitten food and litter are always welcome. Take a look at our Amazon wish list here; items bought this way are sent directly to us without you even having to leave your chair!

Happy news for Graham...

Remember Graham was looking for a foster home so that he could leave the confines of the Wendy House. The happy news is that he has been (temporarily) taken in by a lady called Emma, who is already enjoying having Graham around the house.

Graham is a gorgeous, friendly cat – he just doesn’t like other cats!

Could you foster Graham?

We urgently require a foster home for Graham, a lovely black and white male cat who came in as a bedraggled stray but is now quite the handsome young man.

Graham is extremely affectionate but his downfall is that he is very aggressive towards the other cats. As we currently have 18 kittens in the shelter, he cannot be allowed out of the Wendy House.

While he is living in the lap of luxury in there, with a settee, radio and air conditioning on hot days, he craves human contact and loneliness is beginning to affect his health.

If somebody could foster him until he finds a forever home, it would make him very happy indeed. Please get in touch via the contact details at the top of the page, or call 07941 806536.

Thank you!

Lady Buttercup!

Gorgeous little Lady has been renamed Buttercup, following our naming competition at the Fundraiser Day. Isn’t she a beauty? One of many beautiful kittens/young cats currently looking for homes.

Please get in touch if you’d like to pay us a visit!

We love Lucy

Lucy is truly adorable. In fact, it’s very difficult to get a decent photo of her because she’s so friendly that she keeps coming up to the camera to say hello, resulting in an out-of-focus picture!

She is very similar in markings to Moxley but with slightly longer hair. A truly beautiful kitty.

Lucy’s family were no longer able to look after her, so now she’s at Woodland Nook looking for a new home.
